Description
Deutsch: Einer der rückwärtigen Gewerbehöfe des Hauses Mehringdamm 53-57 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, 1862 von August Hahnemann erbaut. Der Gewerbehof wurde ab 1883 vom Schokoladenhersteller "Hoffmann & Tiede" und nach der Fusion des Unternehmens mit "Felix & Sarotti" im Jahr 1903 von der neuen Sarotti Schokoladen- und Kakao Industrie AG als Produktionsstätte genutzt. Das Haus Mehringdamm 57 mit Gewerbehof ist Bestandteil des denkmalgeschützten Bauensembles Quartier Riehmers Hofgarten.
English: One of the small factory courts in the rear part of the building Mehringdamm 53-57 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, built in 1862 by August Hahnemann. Starting in 1883, the rear buildings were used by the chocolate factory "Hoffmann & Tiede" and, after its merger with "Felix & Sarotti" in 1903, production continued under the new name Sarotti Chocolate and Cacao Industry AG. The house Mehringdamm 57 and the former factory buildings are part of the protected historic buildings area Quartier Riehmers Hofgarten.
