Description
English: The Sato Drums are a twin drums used by the Egun people of Badagry, Lagos, during festivals. In the cultural history of the people of Badagry, Egun Sato drums play a significant role. The Atin-Iroko tree was used to build the male and female single-headed Sato drums, and the antelope skin used to wrap the drum was harvested locally. At festivals and ceremonials, the Egun Sato drums are played.
