Description

Despite plenty of interest from steam enthusiasts since it was put up for sale last year, the Kingston Flyer still hasn't attracted a bid to get it back on the tracks.

But a train-mad expat hopes to change that, and he's got an ambitious plan to restore the flyer to its former glory.

Covered in cobwebs and slowly rusting, the Kingston Flyer sits abandoned waiting for someone to restore her to her former glory. If he has his way, that will be Seattle-based Kiwi David Rowell, who has big plans for the Flyer
