Summary edit

Description

This sign was removed from a long-since razed frame house at the corner of Twenty-Eighth (formerly Montgomery) and O (formerly Beall) Streets in Georgetown.

It's one of the artifacts from the Peabody Room now on display in the Washingtoniana room of the MLK Memorial Library - all miraculously rescued from the May fire at the Georgetown Library.

The overhead lights prevented me from getting a good shot, but it's an interesting small show and well worth checking out.
