Powell, Jr., JAGC, USN" Label Copy: "A samurai lord has discovered the governor Moronaos lecherous advances towards the loyal wife of Lord Enya. In the pine garden of his mansion, he tells his retainer Honz? of his resolve to kill Moronao for his misdeeds. Honz? will then rush off to warn Moronao to apologize, which leads Moronao to provoke Enya into attacking him. As a result of the attack, Enya is obliged to commit suicide and leave his forty-seven loyal retainers without a master and saddled with a vendetta.Behind the bamboo screen is Honz?s wife, and her step daughter Konami kneels in the foreground.
