Deutsch: Bei dem Gemälde handelt es sich um das Gemälde Nr 5 des insgesamt 12 Gemälde umfassenden, in den Hofgartenarkaden München angebrachten „Wittelsbacher-Zyklus". Es trägt den Titel: "Sieg Ludwigs des Bayern bey Ampfing 1322". Auf ihm ist links, in rotem Gewand mit nach oben gerichtetem Schwert, Albrecht Rindsmaul dargestellt. Er war Pfleger der Stadt Neustadt an der Donau, welches zu dieser Zeit an die Burggrafen von Nürnberg verpfändet war. In der Schlacht nahm Albrecht Rindsmaul Friedrich den Schönen gefangen und ebnete somit Ludwig dem Bayer den Weg zur deutschen Kaiserkrone. "Das Kuhmaul konnt ich heut weder mit Stechen noch mit Schlagen von mir bringen, dem hab ich
mich ergeben,“ antwortete Friedrich, als man sich darum stritt, wer ihn überwältigt habe. |
