Notes

Unsigned, with three Fogg Art Museum loan labels on the back of the frame. The Fogg Art Musem loan labels bear the numbers "...85.1939" and "520.1941" suggesting that the work was loaned to the Fogg in 1939 and 1941.

N.B. Through the courtesy of the Harvard University Art Museums, the loan labels on the frame were recently researched and found to coincide with three separate loans between mid-June and early October in the years 1938, 1939, and 1941. However, no reason was given for the loans, and the lender of the painting provided the identification of the painting at that time for the Fogg records.
