| Description |
Deutsch: Die Engel der Schrifttafel der Südfassade der Nikolaikirche Potsdam. Die sandsteinerne Schrifttafel mit den vier die Schriftsätze flankierenden stehenden nahezu vollplastischen Engeln schuf der Berliner Bildhauer Ludwig Wichmann 1835. Befunduntersuchungen an Farbfassungsfragmenten der Schrifttafel belegen 6 im Farbton unterschiedliche ölgebundene Fassungen mit jeweils einer dunkleren Akzentuierung der Schrift, so daß diese in der Vergangenheit auf den Abstand bezogen gut lesbar war. Die jetzige Fassungsrekonstruktion dokumentiert die 2. Fassung von 1850.
