Description
English: Part of the city walls of Schrobenhausen, District Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, Germany. The city walls are listed as a cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Teilansicht des östlichen Stadtwalls von Schrobenhausen, Landkreis Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Bayern, Deutschland. Der Stadtwall ist ein Teil der früheren Stadtbefestigung, der seinerzeit den inneren und äußeren Stadtgraben trennte. Im Jahr 1825 bepflanzt, führt er heute als Allee aus imposanten Kastanien, Buchen und Eichen rund um die Altstadt. Die Anlage steht unter Denkmalschutz. Ebenso als Baudenkmäler ausgewiesen sind der an der Stadtmauer zu sehende Karpfenturm mit Achteckaufsatz aus der ersten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts und das an die Stadtmauer angeschmiegte Gartenhäuschen aus der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Beide Gebäude gehören zur Altstadt und sind dort an der Adresse Alte Schulgasse 7 zu finden. Im Hintergrund ragt die Stadtpfarrkirche St. Jakob - ebenfalls ein Baudenkmal - auf.
