Description

Schwarzwaldstraße 60 Rückseite, Knopfhäusle in Freiburg-Wiehre.

Zweigeschossiges, Mehrparteienhaus. mit rückwärtigem Garten. Zwischen 1869 und 1872 von der Knopffabrik Risler als unverputztes Backsteingebäude errichtet. Hier war ursprünglich das Mädchenwohnheim der Siedlung untergebracht, später zudem eine Station des Ordens der Barmherzigen Schwestern vom heiligen Vinzenz von Paul. Die Ordensschwestern übernahmen die Betreuung dieser Einrichtung ebenso wie den Betrieb der benachbarten Kinderschule und die Krankenpflege in der Siedlung. Funktional stand das Gebäude in engem Zusammenhang mit Haus Nr. 62 (rechter Bildrand Kleinkindbewahranstalt). Der Grundriss wurde durch den Umbau zu Wohnungen verändert. 1977 wurde das Gebäude von der Stadt Freiburg erworben und in den 1980er Jahren nachträglich verputzt.
