Description

Schwarzwaldstraße 70 - 76 Knopfhäusle in Freiburg-Wiehre vor der Sanierung.

Zwischen 1869 und 1872 von der Knopffabrik Risler als Arbeiterwohnungen errichtet. Die vier langgezogenen, zweigeschossigen Gebäude sind längs geteilt und in Einzelabschnitte gegliedert, sodass insgesamt 74 Wohnungen „Rücken an Rücken" Platz fanden. Jede Wohnung verfügte von Anfang an über drei Zimmer, Küche und WC, die sich auf etwa 40 qm verteilen. Hinzu kommen Kellen Dachboden und ein eigener Vorgarten. 1928 wurden die Gebäude win der Stadt Freiburg erworben. In den 1950er und 1960er Jahren wurden die Backsteingebäude veputzt.
