Summary edit

Description
English: Scotney [Old] Castle. The castle round tower is 14th Century and the stonework around the top is heavily machicolated. Abutting the tower is a ruined Elizabethan house - finally abandoned because of the unhealthy living so close to the water. The moat is fed by the River Bewl.
