Description
English: Scots pine, Moonhills, New Forest In the foreground is the silhouette of a small, twisted Scots pine tree growing on the heath. The silhouetted gorse-covered mound is a small bronze-age bowl barrow alongside a track on the heath. I'm guessing that the name for this area "Moonhills" is a corruption of Moor Hills. There are several locations in the heathy parts of the Forest with this name.
