Español: Cristo crucificado, de amplia veneración local. En opinión del investigador Enrique Rivas Paniagua, data de fines del siglo XVII o principios del XVIII, está realizado en pasta de caña de maíz, su peso aproximado es de 10 k (sin contar, desde luego, la cruz de madera) y probablemente se elaboró en el taller de esculturas de esta técnica que entonces había en la ciudad de México. Tiene la cabeza inclinada hacia la derecha, los ojos cerrados y la boca entreabierta; el beso de Judas está representado en su mejilla izquierda. Fue restaurado a finales del siglo XX y su acabado actual es brillante. Su estado de conservación es bueno. Se localiza en el altar mayor colateral. |
