Entangled seal in discarded fishing gear (Ocean Conservation Namibia)

Summary

edit
Description
English: Seals are curious and playful and often get entangled in discarded fishing gear, PPE, packing straps, plastic bags and any other type of plastic pollution. Once entangled, the seals cannot free themselves. As they grow, the entanglements tighten around their neck, flippers, mouth, and body—leading to an agonizing death. Ocean Conservation Namibia tries to change individuals' behaviour and create awareness of marine pollution and the general condition of the world oceans.
