Description
English: Seated Amitabha Buddha of Buseok Temple (Buseoksa). South Korean National Treasure no. 45. This very large (2.78 meters) Buddha is an incredibly rare example of a Korean image made from a wooden frame and layered clay (sojo bulsang). The mandorla (halo) behind the Buddha is made of wood and covered in gold.
