English: P.J. McHugh Building, 1725 Westlake Ave N, Seattle, Washington, U.S. Built and owned by contractor P.J. McHugh in 1920. Designed by former Seattle Public Schools architect Edgar Blair as a food processing plant for Mrs. M.A. Porter, who made a popular local brand of salad dressing, an operation begun in her own home in 1896. In the 1960s the building was owned by Anderson & Thompson Ski Company, who manufactured the original laminated wood skis here among other accessories. |
