English: Seaward Monopile Marine Fender in the River Dee This specialised fender is one of several that assist the berthing of the Airbus A380 wings barge at high tide. The black fender, which is filled with foam, floats up and down the pile according to the level of the tide and it also rotates if contact is made. It helps prevent the barge being damaged. |
