Wappen der (von) Segeberg, ratsverwandt zu Lübeck, Greifswald und Stralsund; Stammvater: möglicherweise schon 1216 "Tiemo de Sigeberg" (Timmo von Segeberg), genannt im Privileg Albrechts von Orlamünde für die Gesamtstadt Hamburg mit "iure fruentur Susatensium et Lubicensium" (Recht der Soester und der Lübecker). (Herzog Waldemar hatte bereits 1201 diesen Timmo, der der Bruder eines gewissen Marcward war, und der vom Grafen Adolf von Schauenburg aus Holstein vertrieben worden war, zum Burggrafen von Segeberg ernannt); sicher aber Gerhard Segeberg (1270-1305), Bürger zu Lübeck, Vater des Timmo von Segeberg (1298-1364), 1331 bis 1357 als Zeuge in Lübeck genannt, stiftete eine Kapelle [1]; 1306 Ritter Gottschalk van Segeberg aus der Lübecker Familie -> Ernst Deecke: Historische Nachrichten von dem lübeckischen Patriziat; Rudolf Struck: Die lübeckische Familie Segeberg und ihre Beziehungen zu den Universitäten Rostock und Greifswald, in: Zeitschrift des Vereins für Lübeckische Geschichte und Altertumskunde, ISSN 0083-5609, Bd. 20 (1919), 1, S.85-116 |

Römischen Reiches wie auch außwärtiger Hoher Potentaten, Könige, Hertzogen, Fürsten, Freyen tittern, Edlen und Erbaren Geschlechten etc Wappen, Schild, Helm, Kleinodien und andren zugehörigen Heroldsfarben", Nürnberg, bey Paulus Fürsten Kunsthändler: Gedruckt bei Christoph Gerhard. (1655 - 1657). Rudolf Johann Helmer, Schwiegersohn von Paul Fürst, Ehemann von Fürsts Tochter Magdalene (1652-1717), setzte zusammen mit Fürsts Sohn, Wolfgang Gottlieb Fürst, die Arbeit in Nürnberg fort und stellte 1695 erstmals alle 5 Teile zu einem einzigen Band zusammen.
