Description
Italiano: Segnale stradale italiano: segnale di inizio autostrada. Parte delle Norme unificate per la segnaletica verticale ed orizzontale sulle autostrade dell'Aiscat del 1967. Sostituito con un nuovo design nel 1968-1969.

Introduce per la prima volta in Italia il simbolo internazionale di autostrada accompagnato da un segnale di divieto di circolazione con i simboli delle categorie non ammesse al transito e la scritta riportante il divieto di autostop; la parte in alto indica l'autostrada che si sta percorrendo e il km dell'entrata. Notare come lo sfondo della parte recante il simbolo di autostrada sia blu mentre il nominativo dell'autostrada sia in verde seguendo la prassi utilizzata all'epoca secondo cui i segnali che avviassero ad un'autostrada fossero verdi mentre tutti gli altri blu (anche se all'interno dell'autostrada). Il pannello con le limitazioni presente invece un pannello grigio con bordino nero, una combinazione di colori che non verrà più ripresa in seguito.

I font indicati sono indicativi (in particolare quello relativo alle iscrizioni del tipo "fino a ... cc") sono indicazioni di massima in quanto tale particolare era affrontato solo vagamente nel testo originale.
English: Italian road sign: motorways begin. Introduced by the Road Signs Comittee of AISCAT (association of Italian motorway operator) in 1967; modfied in 1968-1969 with a ministerial circular. Fonts used in the picture may not correspond exacly to that used (especially for the "fino a ... cc" phrases).

All the smaller signs and symbol used are in the Italian Highway Code Regulation of 1959 or in the ministerial circular of 1968-1969 and thus are in public domain; the sign itself it is a very similar version of the road sign introduced by ministerial circular of 1968-1969 that is in public domain. So even this sign it is believed to be in public domanin.
