日本語: 1905年2月2日、夏目漱石から土井晩翠へ宛てた葉書に描かれた漱石の水彩自画像。文面は以下の通り。

（上段）君は僕の気焔に驚くと云ふが僕は君の健筆に驚ろいて居る。此頃の文芸の雑誌に君の詩が載つて居ない事はない。何しろ大にやり玉へ筆硯万歳可賀可賀し　昨夜は雪　僕の前の家から火事が出て夜の間に焼けて仕舞つた。今朝起きて始めて知つた。雪中の火事は詩題になると思ふ。それを知らずに寝て居るのも詩になると思ふ

（下段）自分の肖像をかいたらこんなものが出来た何だか影が薄い肺病患者のようだ。君が僕を鼓舞してくれるから今にもつと肥つた所をかいて御目にかける現在の顔はこの位だ
