Español: «Provincia de Palencia. Partido Judicial de Saldaña. Pueblo de Villasila y Villamelendro. Lugar del Sello. Noticia histórica del mismo. Registrados todos cuantos datos obran en esta Alcaldía debo manifestar a V.S. que no se ha conocido en este municipio otro sello que es el del Ayuntamiento, del que á echo hace huso par autorizar sus documentos el mismo que ba colocado en su lugar cuyo sello se hacho huso desde el año de mil ochocientos cincuenta proximamente lo que participo á V.S. para su esacto cumplimiento. Villasila 13 de Octubre de 1878. EL alcalde presidente: Francisco Pérez (abajo) Villamelendro (Villasila de Valdavia) (abajo) Sr. Gobernador civil de la Provincia de Palencia​.»
