Português: As Sempre-vivas são assim chamadas porque suas flores mantêm sua aparência, mesmo após destacadas da planta. A Sempre Viva é da família Eriocaulaceae, esta possui 1100 espécies distribuídas nas regiões tropicais e subtropicais do mundo. Estima-se que existam mais de 100 espécies de Sempre-vivas no Estado da Bahia, com maior ocorrência na Chapada Diamantina (GIULIETTI A. M., 1996), local onde a foto foi registrada.
