. Bruxelles ( ?). 1476-1488. H. 1,70 m ; L. 3,35 m - Musées de Sens - (Cl. Musées de Sens, E. Berry). . Commandée par le cardinal Charles de Bourbon, archevêque de Lyon de 1476 à 1488, cette précieuse tapisserie surprend par la finesse de son tissage (fils de soie, de laine, d'or et d'argent) et la fraîcheur des couleurs. En forme de retable, elle représente au centre le Couronnement de la Vierge, surmontant un concert céleste. De part et d'autre, deux couronnements de femmes de l'Ancien Testament : Esther et Bethsabée. |
