Description
English: A pre-digital Sequencer constructed at the College for Music (Musikhochschule) in Cologne, Germany, by the sound engineer Marcel Schmidt in 1980. The device was used to trigger signals in a Moog modular synthesizer and an ARP 2500. Famous classical composers interested in the field of electronic music used the studio massively for their work.
Deutsch: Ein selbstgebauter Sequenzer zum Steuern analoger Synthesizer im Studio für elektronische Musik der Musikhochschule Köln. Der leitende Ingenieur des Studios, Marcel Schmidt, hat das prä-digitale Gerät 1980 fertiggestellt, um für an der Hochschule arbeitende Komponisten analoge Synthesizer der Firmen Moog und ARP automatisch zu steuern.
