Macário, sítio de interesse geológico que constitui um magnífico ponto de observação da morfologia e paisagem da região oriental do maciço da Gralheira. A partir daqui é possível contemplar as serras do Montemuro, Estrela e Caramulo, e o Vale de Lafões. É também na serra de S. Macário que se encontra um dos mais peculiares Santuários de Montanha do território, constituído por duas ermidas: a de São Macário de cima, e a de São Macário de baixo, erguidas em memória de um eremita que, segundo a lenda, se tornou santo e padroeiro desta serra. A primeira ermida, mais antiga, está cercada até ao nível do telhado por um alto muro que a protege dos fortes ventos da montanha, e a segunda, mais pequena, encontra-se ao lado de uma gruta onde se crê ter vivido o lendário eremita. No último fim de semana de julho realiza-se a grande romaria em honra de S.
