Description

Today we have the longest title this Mary has seen on a photo in the NLI's Commons stream. A fine establishment in central Belfast should make for good searching for those so inclined.

And indeed there proved to be much of interest to research and find on Neill's jewellers. With confirmation that the premises pictured was built in 1903 at Donegall Place, Belfast for Sharman D. Neill, a minor transcription error was highlighted in the catalogue entry. And, amongst the clocks, jewellery and expected silverware, we learned that Neill's had a branch in glasses and optics - and produced sniper scopes during WWI....
