Description
English: Sheep on a Cliff Face at College Lake The so-called “natural” chalk grassland requires regular grazing to prevent the area being overrun with plants such as hawthorn – and later woodland. Rare breed sheep are ideal for the purpose and can graze the grass on the steep quarry sides. (College Lake Nature Reserve http://www.bbowt.org.uk/content.asp?did=23523)
