English: Shell-Mex House Formerly the luxurious Cecil Hotel, built in 1886. The riverside facade and landmark clock were added in 1931. To the right are the Savoy Hotel (under development and clothed in plastic sheeting) and Cleopatra's Needle. In the foreground are Charing Cross Pier and the Victoria Embankment.
