| Description |
English: Shipwrecked Mariners mine, Portrush. The Shipwrecked Mariners Society was founded in 1839 "to provide financial help to merchant seafarers, fishermen and their dependants who are in need". One of the ways it raises money is the placing of old mines, as collecting boxes, in coastal towns. This one is in Portrush at the apex of Mark Street and Eglinton Street. See also 1258577. |
