English: Shropshire Union Canal at Norbury Junction, Staffordshire. This is Bridge No 1 on the now disused branch canal to Shrewsbury, Trench and Newport. There was a long flight of fifteen locks from here down towards Newport, which are now closed. The top lock (in the white building) is now used as a dry dock for building and/or repairing boats. |
