English: Bubbles of silanes gases (silicon hydrides), mixed with some hydrogen, burning spontaneously and explosively in contact with air, forming chiefly silicon dioxide and steam. Silanes (mixed with hydrogen) is formed by the reaction of magnesium silicide with dilute sulfuric acid. Français : Des bulles de gaz de silane, lorsque mélangé à de l'hydrogène, brûlent spontanément et de façon explosive au contact de l'air. Elles forment ainsi du dioxyde de silicium et de la vapeur. Le bruit des mini-explosions est audible. Română: Bucăți de siliciură de magneziu sunt amestecate cu acid sulfuric diluat rezultând gaze de silan (hidrură de siliciu) și hidrogen. Bulele de silan se oxidează la contactul cu aerul, producând miniexplozii și rezultând mai departe în dioxid de siliciu și vapori de apă. |
