Summary edit

Description
English: Sign for the Original Keys, Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Prior to the Reformation this was a very common inn sign, for it was the emblem of St Peter. When Henry VIII broke with Rome a number of signs changed to the King's Head. Later the keys had a significance when watchmen kept guard throughout the night on behalf of the community.
