English: Sikorsky HOS-1 helicopters aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CV-38), in 1946. The first helicopter is USAAF R-6A s/n 43-45508, licence-built by Nash-Kelvinator. Several R-6 were transferred to the U.S. Navy.
