| Description |
Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles co-chaired a failed Presidential Commission called the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. The mandate for this commission was to produce a report to outline deficit reduction solutions. The commission failed to produce a report. The co-chairs released a memo that reflects their own opinions, but really should have no value in informing legislation. In short their memo and the propaganda use of it is freakish and monstrous. The source image for this caricature of Alan Simpson is a Creative Commons licensed photo from Park County Library System's Flickr Photostream. The source image for the face of Erskine Bowles is an image in the public domain from the United States Senate Budget Committee. The source image for the body in this caricature is from a photo available via the Library of Congress. NOTE: I could not find a large source image of Mr. Bowles so I was forced to represent him as a erupting boil on Alan Simpson's shoulder. Perhaps the title should have been Simpson Boils - Caricature. |
