English: Sir Nigel Gresley, Grosmont Station, North Yorkshire Moors Railway This iconic locomotive was designed by the famous engineer for the old London and North Eastern Railway from whom it takes its name. It is certified to run on Network Rail metals. Its sister engine, the 'Mallard' achieved a world record speed of 126 mph in 1938. That engine is in the National Rail Museum in York. |
