Summary

edit
Description Painting of Sir Thomas Slingsby by Anon, at the Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. This is possibly Sir Thomas Turner Slingsby, 8th Baronet (1741–1806), of Scriven, Yorks. There were several Sir Thomas Slingsbys, but the costume worn by this one is 18th century, and the sitter is no longer young, which fits the dates.
