English: Site for New Visitor Centre, College Lake. The Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust http://www.bbowt.org.uk/ is adding to the facilities of College Lake Nature Reserve http://www.bbowt.org.uk/content.asp?did=23523 and this area was cleared of vegetation early in 2009 and will become the site of a new Visitor Centre. The New Barn and current facilities can be seen in the distance.
Information from sign erected after the building work had started. "The centre will give breathtaking views across the lake and offer refreshments and an outdoor eating area. The building will incorporate some exciting green features including a living turf roof, a timber frame made from sustainably grown wood and a rammed earth wall." "Inside the centre displays will describe the reserve's fabulous wildlife and its fascinating geological past. Information and activities to help you discover all that the reserve has to offer will be available." "To keep up with developments, to find out more about volunteering at College Lake, or to help our work by becoming a member, visit our web site www.bbowt.org.uk .
