English: Site of Aikenway Castle This flat area is where Aikenway Castle once stood. It is a very strong defensive site, with steep slopes on three sides and further protected by the River Spey on the north and east. Winter is the best time of year to visit it - in summer it is very overgrown with thorns and brambles. |
