English: Site of Trig Point and original summit cairn The trig point has been moved by the Yorkshire Dales National Park rangers. It stood on a Stone Age burial mound and they wanted to avoid too much traffic. There is a new summit cairn 200 yards east, near the wall on a footpath.
The cup marked rocks at the same location as the trig point on the map are worth a visit! |
