Size-based distribution of funerary tumuli

Summary

edit
Description
English: Size-based distribution of funerary tumuli in A) the hinterland of Dakhlet el Atrouss (Dhar Tichitt; see Fig. 4 for further reference), B) Tajal Boutektek (western Tagant); C) Tabarit West (western Tagant). Note the presence of two very large tumuli within the Dakhlet el Atrouss I regional center, as described in the text. These remain by far the largest yet found in southeastern Mauritania. At Boutektek, the tumuli are predominantly facing the better-watered western side of the hill.
