Summary edit

Description
English: Skarratt's Stone, Laund Clough Why this carved rock should be in such a remote spot, or who Skarratt was, I don't know. Perhaps a memorial to a gamekeeper? The carving is dated 1894. The stone was used as a marker in a recent mountain marathon (the marker is just visible in the picture). http://www.dpfr.org.uk/Richard/limm2007.html
