To be executed in gilt bronze; silvered metal dial. The god, winged and in a tunic, playing a lyre while seated on a plinth fronted by the clock, his bow and quiver lain aside, a flambeau adorned with his laurel crown, the frieze with swans, urns, cornucopiae and a vase of flowers. Related clocks are known with the composition in reverse, and with a figure of Apollo not Cupid. |
