Description
English: SL4-185-6704 (16 November 1973) --- This view of both protective shields on the damaged Skylab space station was photographed by the Skylab 4 crew upon its arrival to the complex. The second shield (put in place by the second three-man Skylab crew) almost totally obstructs the view of the one that was deployed during the first manning of Skylab (Skylab 2). The absence of part of the station's solar array panel, which only partially deployed during the May 14, 1973 launch, is apparent on the right side of the frame.
