Description
العربية: المقدار الأقصى لِفتحة فم السنَّور سيفيّ الأسنان، وأُسلوب عضها لأعناق طرائدها. مُخطط الطريدة مُمثل على شكل دائرة. في الرسم الصافي لِلفك، يظهر أنَّ مقدار الفتح الأقصى يُساوي مقدار ما يتسع بين النابين الطويلين عندما يفتح الحيوان فمه على أقصى درجةٍ مُمكنة. (أ) هندسة الدائرة الأساسيَّة تُحدد عُمق العضَّة (هـ = ش الفريسة + ش الفك) في شُعاع الفريسة (ش الفريسة) مع إظهار الفُسحة المُتاحة لِلنابان (حـ) وحجم الفك (ش الفك). الرسم (ب) يُظهر هندسة عض طرائد ذات أحجام مُختلفة - وكيف يُمكنُ لِهذا السنُّور أن يتسبب بِجُرحٍ قاتلٍ من هكذا عضَّة. الرسم (ج) يُظهرُ طريدةً أضخم بِمرتين من الطريدة الأولى، وعندها يُمكن لِلسنَّور أن يجرحها جُرحًا سطحيًّا فقط عند عضِّها. تظهر أيضًا الأوردة (بالأزرق) والشرايين (بالأحمر) والرغامي (بالرمادي).
