Title
"Portrait de Marie-Amélie de Saxe"
Description
English: Presumed portrait of Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel (1691-1750), misidentified with Maria Amalia of Saxony (1724-1760).
  • Identification proposed by user Ecummenic (talk) based on the comparison with some portraits of Elisabeth Christine (see images below) and the lack of physical resemblance of the sitter of this portrait to verified representations of Amalia. Furthermore, the identification as Maria Amalia is not sustainable since an analysis of fashion dates the work around 1710, but she was born in 1724.
