Summary
editDescriptionSolanum macranthum 2.jpg |
Solanum macranthum I knew about this tree/shrub, but I did not know that it is so beautiful and big till recently I saw it flowering in Mt. Coot-tha botanic garden. The flowers and tree is bigger than I thought and it looks spectacular. Photos cannot show it, but try to see them in the link . Show: all my pics of "Giant Star Potato Tree" It is Solanum crinitum (more often known as S. macranthum), native to Brazil, and indeed close relative to ordinary potato. Flowers change (fade) their colour from purple to white. |
