- description shoulder: hare hiding under bush between 2 confronted lions - production place: Milet or Samos (?) - the drawing of the lion resembles that on the oinochoe in Basel, but the Munich oinochoe has no white slip; the dotted chequer-ornament on the neck is typical of the early, experimental phase of the evolving wild goat style, the cable ornament opens the way towards the future - period / date: south ionian archaic Ia / early wild goat style, ca. 660-650 BC - material: pottery (clay) - museum / inventory number: München, Staatliche Antikensammlung
