Description
English: We are often asked what we do for work when it is winter and the snow is multiple feet deep. The answer: we continue doing the work we must to benefit the resources and the public, but sometimes we have to do it a little differently! These pictures show members of our South Zone Timber Crew measuring DBH (diameter at breast height) in a timber sale area while on their knees because the base of the trees are 4-5 feet under snow! Thank you to Ellen Jungck for these fantastic pictures.
