A rather poetic-sounding title for this observation. Even in enhanced color (where north is approximately to the right) we can see frost on these dome-like dunes. The wind has moved the dust to appear like trailing streaks. Enhanced color is less than 1 km (under a mile) top to bottom and is 320 km (199 mi) above the surface.
